Profile
I’m a big ideas person with a knack for turning the impossible into the unforgettable. My career has zigzagged across marketing, brand events and communications in diverse sectors like FMCG, lifestyle, not for profit, professional services … you name it. Different industries, same result: stories and experiences that actually stick.
Then I went off piste and cofounded Hotel Canberra in Ballarat with my husband and brother. We rescued a heritage listed gem, injected her with art deco charm (and enough caffeine to power the state), and turned her into a thriving boutique hotel. Along the way, I wore every hat imaginable: brand builder, experience designer, operations wrangler, barista, dishwasher, occasional housekeeper and chief curator of vibes. Oh, and the odd blocked dunny? Consider it handled.
After three full throttle years, we exited the hotel game. But now I’m back where I belong, diving headfirst into the creative deep end. I craft brands, shape experiences and deliver projects that make people talk, sometimes in awe, sometimes in mild envy, long after the curtain falls.
I’m curious, strategic, a little rebellious in all the right ways and ready for the next challenge. Ideally, it’s a remote or hybrid freelance role where I can bring strategy, creativity, and a spark of the unexpected all without leaving my own well caffeinated desk.
Oh, and words are my jam. I’ve judged national travel writing awards two years running, which keeps my storytelling sharp and my sense of adventure alive. The itch to create is louder than ever and trust me, I don’t do subtle.
What’s next? I’m looking to dive back into the creative deep end, crafting experiences, building brands and delivering projects to have people talking long after the curtain falls. I imagine ambitious ideas, events with electricity in the air and the sheer thrill of pulling off something people will never forget.I’m curious, driven, rebellious in all the right ways and ready for a fresh challenge. What does that look like? Ideally remote or hybrid work where I can bring strategy, creativity and a spark of the unexpected to the table, all from the comfort of my office. And because I can’t resist storytelling, I’ve also judged national travel writing awards for two years running, feeding my love of words and sparking new adventures of my own. The itch needs scratching even more now
